- Exhibition organisers will usually have a well organised press strategy - but they will ‘cherry pick’ the best stories from all the exhibitors and showcase those to the press.
- The exhibition’s PR staff have many exhibitors to look after, not just you. They will have limited focus on any individual exhibitor and will have no knowledge of your company or understanding of your PR strategy. Their client is the exhibition organiser, not the exhibitor.
- A well-managed PR support package will (at the most basic level) ensure that your company / product / brand is featured in appropriate pre-show press material; that you maximise the opportunities for press meetings and press exposure at the show itself; and that post-show press relations activity is followed-through diligently.
- The press room will be ‘actively managed’ by a GKPR staffer, and journalists visiting the show will be contacted where appropriate.
